Legendary New York trio, The Beastie Boys have released a brand new “white label” EP entitled “Super Surprise”. The pair of new songs mark the first new rap material from the Beasties since 2006′s To the 5 Boroughs[Capitol]. The songs are produced by MCA, Adrock and Mike D alongside the irreplaceable DJ Mix Master Mike and continue the Beastie Boys golden track record. (Review) Jason The Argonaut – The Casting Couch (2009)

The Casting Couch - Sunset Leagues Intl.

Last night I had the privelage of sharing the stage with Jason The Argonaut (of Disflex.6/Sunset Leagues fame)  and he was showcasing material from his new album The Casting Couch. Argonaut rocks the crowd with great presence, and his new album features down to earth “average-guy” lyrics, while the production sounds thick and warm, and thick with great sample selections, and bangin’ drums.

OVERALL:  Never one to dissapoint, Argonaut’s Casting Couch is another winner from the D.6 camp.
